Are those plug in spa machines safe to use in the bath, any risk of electrification?
i only shower cos baths are boring, so i thought one of those spa mat things that you put in the bath that are run by electricity would be a good idea, i really could do with some relaxation!!!
but i find it weird that you plug it in a power point then place the attached mat in the bath water,,, is there any risk of shock???? thanks
Anytime you have water and electricity close together there is always the risk of being shocked.
Your device is probably sealed to the point where there is little to no risk especially if it is new. You should check it every now and then to make sure it is not cracked and as the unit gets older increase the amount of checking that you do. Everything eventually wears out either through age or lack of use.
Check the power cord occasionally for signs of wear or cracks.
Make sure the unit is plugged into a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interruptor) outlet or powerpoint. If you are in a country other than the USA they may go by a different name. A GFCI device is an added measure of safety. It shuts itself off when it detects conditions where a shock may be possible.
