How Do I Remove A Stuck-On Shower Head?
I'm trying to replace the shower head, and after spraying a whole can of PB blaster (better than WD-40) and going at it with a pair of pliers with all my might the darn thing still won't budge, i sprayed it a bunch of times with PB-blaster, and waited from minutes to hours to a day to try and unscrew that thing and it still will not budge, i used up the whole can of PB-blaster, scarped the shower head, and how my hands are in pain.
Can someone please give me any advise on how to remove this thing? Thanks.
thanks but i tried vinegar.
Equipment: Vinegar
Quart-size storage bag (for regular-size shower head)
Clothespin
Pour about a cup of white vinegar into the storage bag.
Place bag over shower head and twist upper bag corner so vinegar covers whole shower head. Secure bag with clothespin. Let soak for 2+ hours.
The vinegar doesn't work immediately; it has to soak the affected area for quite a while. I know you said you tried the vinegar, but did you let it soak long enough? Vinegar is the best for removing mineralized deposits.
Try using a wrench instead of pliers. It will grip better and give you more leverage.
Last resort: pipe cutter.
