I have to set up a little gift basket but I am broke!!!?
kinda long but not really!
I have a great friend and we call each other sister and we only get to see each other once a year and that is over the summer well we always give each other birthday/christmas girfts then so we don't have to pay shipping fees. Last year she went above and beyond and I didn't and I felt bad. she said she was going to do the same this year and I don't want to be over shawdowed. I have one thing that she wanted but instead of getting like 14 packages I thought I would just make a little gift basket instead how do I find things to put in it to make it look pretty! I have a basket, tissue paper, and other stuff but I need ideas on the gifts inside it cause I am broke! Please help me!

Go to high end department store make up and perfume counters and ask for samples... usually you can get some great lil super expense perfume vials and facial creams for free (like travel size)
Go to the dollar store and get a picture frame, noone can tell the difference between a dollar store frame and a 40 buck macys frame if you choose correctly...print a picture of the two of you and place it in the frame. you can scrapbook up the picture inside the frame under the glass with paper etc before you close the back. just be careful to do cute not tacky.
Burn her a cd of songs that make you remember times you have spent with her, make you laugh because the song sounds just like something she would do
-go with the multi holiday theme: bake some christmas cookies in spring, get a mini cupcake and place a birthday candle in it for her birthday you missed,
-put a disposable camera in the basket with a note attached that says, that to accept the camera she has to promise to use all the film during your vist making memories and then go it get developed before you leave (again the dollar store has these for a couple bucks)
i don't know some ideas i guess .. maybe you could combine... sometimes a basket full of amazing and thoughful gifts is way more special that expensive stuff you just throw in ...... think about fun things and memories with her.. so she feels special ! everyone likes to feel special
