Whatever happened to the classic soda fountains and candy shops?
I remember going into one when I was a wee lad. It was magical. All the large barrels of candy, the homemade root beer and ice cream, red swivel seats, oak counter tops with hand carved designs.
What happened to those?
There is still one in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. That shop is where the first Ice Cream Sundae was concocted.
