Does anyone know how to install these curtain rods?
I just purchased a "Mainstays Home Heavy Duty Curtain Rod" and the freakin' thing does not come with instructions. Help??
It's the white metal kind, thin (for 84 in-120 in), with 2 bent or "L" shaped brackets on each end. It comes with 2 metal fasteners for the wallmount - those I know how to use - but then there's also 2 large question-mark shaped hook/screws, and I can't figure out what those are for...nor how to mount the actual rod to the fasteners. Gak!
Wal-mart.com shows nothing, neither does DIY.com - and I'd hate to have to go all the way back to the store....so any input would be greatly appreciated!
Install the wall mounts that you already understand where you want them. The other two, the one's that look like "?" are to support the rod in between the other mounts. They are used in really long rods, so they won't sag over time. Space them evenly along the top of the window where the rod will go. The rod should sit into them.
You should have two holes at the end of the "L"'s, that should hook into the end wall mounts.
