Napa gold oil filters....Rip off?
According to NAPA their top of the line oil filters are basically equal to OEM (50% at 20 um, 95% at 31). These 6$ filters use "T-03 Glass Enhanced Media - Best Efficiency + Capacity In Industry". Compared to these the NAPA Proselect is 2$ which claims to meet OEM specs and uses the "T-83 Composite Media"
My question is: if NAPA's top-shelf filter is equal to OEM and uses the "best" media, how can their cheap filter using the t-83 media also equal OEM? I dont understand how both can equal OEM, yet one is just cellulose while the other is glass enhanced. If the T-03 media = OEM its reasonable to say the T-83 would be less efficient.
