Woodpecker pecking on satellite dish.?
We have a woodpecker that is pecking on our satellite dish. At first he was pecking on the arm, and although it was annoying, it wasn't harming anything. We covered the arm with pipe tubing so he couldn't peck. Now he is pecking on the actual dish and it interferes with our tv picture. We've been told he's trying to attract a mate. We don't want to shoot him because we're afraid that we will miss and hit the satellite.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Go to walmart and get a BB gun. Pump it up several times and get rid of him. You run a far less risk of damaging the dish and the BB gun is very easy to hit what you are shooting at. I do this all the time in the garage.
